Yoga

Slow down and engage with a yoga class at Arts Abound. These playful and engaging class introduces kids to the practice of yoga through movement and creativity. Each class will give your child a chance to build strength and coordination, while also learning mindfulness tools for focus and emotional regulation.
Acting
Theatre, Acting, Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8
Explore the world of theatre and drama in one of Arts Abound's Acting Classes. Classes are offered as both full year classes that work on a full length play and shorter semester classes that explore different of aspects of acting.
Acting Out is a full year program where students work together to produce a play. In addition to working on their production, students will participate in theatre activities to develop their skills as an actor. Each session will end with a final performance where the students will present their play to family and friends.
Drama Stars classes uses drama games and theatre activities to learn basic acting techniques and build their confidence as a performer. Each class focuses on developing skills, as students discover their creativity and have an opportunity to truly express themselves.
Art Explorers – Combo Classes
Dance, Music, Visual Arts, Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3
Explore the arts at Arts Abound! Designed for younger students, Art Explorers is the class to introduce your children to the arts, with each session including a combination of art experiences
Each Art Explorers session includes a visual art class and either a dance class or music class. Students will be introduced to a variety of art and dance styles and techniques in a fun and encouraging environment. With a focus on enjoying and appreciating the arts, classes will build on emerging skill and begin to introduce students to basic technique in dance, music and visual art.
Students are split into two groups that rotate through the two activities, visual art and dance. Our Junior group is designed for students in JK and SK, and our Senior group is designed for students in Grade 1-3. Activities are tailors to each age group to be engaging and developmentally appropriate.
Arts for All
Adaptive, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9+
Our Arts For All Community has become an important opportunity for individuals to connect on a weekly basis. Designed for children living with disabilities, our Arts For All class includes a variety of art experiences (including dance, music and visual art) that are adapted to the unique needs of each student to provide them an opportunity to express themselves. Some weeks students will be split into groups to ensure activities are developmentally appropriate. Crafting
Sewing, Crafting, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9+
Introduce your child to the joys of using their hand to create something unique in a crafting class at Arts Abound.
STITCH BY STITCH - Grade 2+
In Stitch By Stitch students will have the opportunity to complete a variety of sewing projects that develop new skills in an encouraging environment. Starting with simple hand sewing projects in the Junior level moving all the way to fashion projects in the Senior Level, students will build their sewing skills through fun projects.
CREATIVE CRAFTERS - Grade 3+
Creative Crafters is a great class for students interested in exploring the world of DIY projects and learning a variety of different crafting skills. Each semester, students will have the opportunity to explore a number of different types of crafting including crochet, sewing, digital art, vinyl crafting and more.
Dance
Dance, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9+
Get your child moving in a dance classes at Arts Abound. Our classes focus on exploring movement and different styles of dance through fun and engaging, age appropriate classes.
I CAN MOVE - Preschool (Ages 3-4)
If your child love to move, I Can Move is the class for them! This interactive class encourage preschoolers to explore the space around through basic dance moves and creative movement. Throughout the program children will develop their balance, coordination and creativity, while building their confidence.
BOP TIL YOU DROP - JK to Grade 6
Explore the art of dance with Bop ‘Til You Drop. Each session allows children to experiment and express themselves through creative movement and experience different forms of dance such as ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. Throughout the program children will develop their coordination and creativity, while building their confidence. Tap shoes will be provided.
TAPJAM - Grade 2+
Make music with your feet! Learn basics of tap dancing, starting with fundamental one and two sound steps and building up to more complex rhythms, in a fun and laid back environment. Tap shoes will be provided.

VOCAL:
MARVELOUS MUSIC - AGES 3-6
Develop your child’s love of music with Marvelous Music. Marvelous Music is designed to encourage young musicians to develop and experiment with music in a fun and positive environment. Throughout the term, students will have the opportunity to explore many different types and styles of music using their voice, instruments, and even their bodies.
SINGING STARS - Grade 4 to 6
Singing Stars is designed to enhance the musical and creative expression of all students. Throughout the semester, students will learn different styles of music, while practicing their vocal skills through fun music games, activities and exercises. In addition to developing their voice, students will be introduced to the art of song writing and have the opportunity to write their own songs
BROADWAY STARS - SK to Grade 5
Sing and dance just like the stars on Broadway! Broadway Stars is a fun and engaging musical theatre program that introduces students to many different musical theatre styles that encourage self-expression, build confidence, and help them discover their inner star! Each class will include vocal training, acting activities and dance where they will add choreography to the songs they learned.
INSTRUMENTAL:
DRUMMING - Grade 6 to Adult
Explore rhythm and percussion in Dynamic Drumming! This class will focus on creating and enjoying music as a group, while exploring cultural drumming from West Africa. Djembes will be provided.

Arts Abound is thrilled to partner with Grace Notes Studio to offer creative piano programming to families!
These innovative group classes have been designed to foster an appreciation for creative expression at the piano while developing a diverse musical repertoire and a strong foundation in theory, technique, and ear-training.
Whether you are just starting out, are coming with a few years of experience, OR you have always wanted to play but thought it was too late, there is a piano class here for you!
PLAY-A-STORY - Ages 5-7
The best learning experiences start with inspiration! This unique piano program harnesses the power of story and improvisation to provide an entryway into the expressive and creative power of music for our youngest musicians. Students are introduced to key theoretical and technical skills in a fun and encouraging, playing-based environment. Beautifully designed materials support the learning and exploration process at home between lessons.
SIMPLY MUSIC PIANO - Ages 7-107+
Simply Music is an Australian-developed piano and keyboard program that offers a breakthrough in music education. This unique method has children, teens, adults and seniors playing great-sounding contemporary, classical, blues, and accompaniment pieces - immediately, from their very first lessons. Using a revolutionary, playing-based approach, students participate in group and individual activities to build an exciting and diverse repertoire of music in a wide variety of styles. They are encouraged to develop their own musical expression through activities that foster creativity, improvisation and arranging. They will learn about chords, and develop technique, theory and ear-training skills as they build their skill and confidence as musicians.

Studio to Stage
Theatre, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9+
Studio to Stage is a full year program that incorporates all disciplines of the arts into one program. During this program, students will work together to produce their own musical production. Students will take part in all aspects of the production from learning lines to painting sets, taking their production from the studio to the stage. Each session will end with a final performance where the students will present their production to family and friends.
“Being a part of the Arts Abound family is so much fun! This year I was part of the Studio to Stage production of "The Grunch." My favourite part was learning all of the songs and making the props! Everyone was so nice. I can't wait to do it all over again next year!”
Visual Art
Visual Arts, Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9+
Help your child discover their creative side with a visual arts class at Arts Abound. With a focus enjoying art for arts sake, students will explore a variety of different styles and mediums of art. Divided into two series of courses, there is a visual art course for everyone!
SHAPE, DOODLE & PAINT - JK to Grade 3
Shape, Doodle & Paint is designed to nurture budding artistic abilities! Young artists will be encouraged to flex their visual art muscles as they explore the elements of art in new and exciting ways - through pencil, paper, pastel, ink, paint, glue, scissor and more! Children will grow in their self-confidence and creative thinking while working with a wide variety of mediums. With this introductory program, the sky’s the limit to what your child can create!
EMERGING ARTIST - Grade 3 to 10
Emerging Artists is designed to inspire a growing interest in art and to build on skills in sketching, painting, collage and mixed-media. The class is designed to create a time and place where young artists can come together, express themselves and develop their own artistic awareness and techniques.
