    Explore the world of theatre and drama in one of Arts Abound's Acting Classes. Acting Out uses drama games and theatre activities to explore basic acting techniques and build their confidence as a performer. Each class focuses on developing skills, as students discover their creativity and have an opportunity to truly express themselves.

  • Art Explorers – Combo Classes

    Dance, Visual Arts, Toddler, Preschool, Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3

    Explore the arts at Arts Abound! Designed for younger students, Art Explorers is the class to introduce your children to the arts, with each session including a combination of art experiences

    ART EXPLORERS MINI - Toddler & Preschool
    Introduce your child to the arts with Art Explorers Mini. Designed for families to participate together, each class includes a variety of age appropriate music, movement, and dance activities. With a focus on enjoying and appreciating the arts, classes will build on emerging skills in music and movement.

    ART EXPLORERS JR & SR - JK to Grade 3
    Each Art Explorers session includes a visual art class, and dance class. Students will be introduced to a variety of art and dance styles and techniques in a fun and encouraging environment. With a focus on enjoying and appreciating the arts, classes will build on emerging skill and begin to introduce students to basic technique in both dance and visual art.

    Students are split into two groups that rotate through the two activities, visual art and dance. Our Junior group is designed for students in JK and SK, and our Senior group is designed for students in Grade 1-3. Activities are tailors to each age group to be engaging and developmentally appropriate.

  • Arts for All

    Exceptional, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9+

    Our Arts For All Community has become an important opportunity for individuals to connect on a weekly basis.  Designed for children living with exceptional needs, our Arts For All class includes a variety of art experiences that are adapted to the unique needs of each student to provide them an opportunity to express themselves.  While classes are being offered online, each class includes a variety of developmentally appropriate music, movement, and dance activities.  With a focus on enjoying and appreciating the arts, classes will build on emerging skills in music and movement.

  • Dance

    Acting, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9+

    Get your child moving in a dance classes at Arts Abound. Our classes focus on exploring movement and different styles of dance through fun and engaging, age appropriate classes.

    I CAN MOVE - Preschool (Ages 3-4)
    If your child love to move, I Can Move is the class for them! This interactive class encourage preschoolers to explore the space around through basic dance moves and creative movement. Throughout the program children will develop their balance, coordination and creativity, while building their confidence.

    BOP TIL YOU DROP - JK to Grade 6
    Explore the art of dance with Bop ‘Til You Drop. Each session allows children to experiment and express themselves through creative movement and experience different forms of dance such as ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. Throughout the program children will develop their coordination and creativity, while building their confidence. Tap shoes will be provided.

    TAPJAM - Grade 3+
    Make music with your feet! Learn basics of tap dancing, starting with fundamental one and two sound steps and building up to more complex rhythms, in a fun and laid back environment. Tap shoes will be provided.

  • Piano

    Piano, Senior Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9+

    *Due to COVID-19 - all piano classes have been put on hold for FALL 2021, we hope to be able to resume our piano program in the near future*

    Let your child discovery the joy of the piano with piano courses at Arts Abound. These innovative group classes have been designed to build an appreciation for the piano while developing a strong foundation in theory, technique, and ear-training. Divided into three series of courses, there is a piano course for everyone!

    PRIMARY PIANO - SK to Grade 2
    Introduce your child to the piano with Primary Piano! Designed for young beginners (SK to Grade 2), this series of 4 courses will introduce children to piano basics through a variety of individual and group activities that focus on developing an appreciation for the piano in a fun and encouraging setting. Each class will include a group lesson, interactive theory, ear-training, and technique activities, and some 1:1 time working on piano repertoire.

    KOLLABORATIVE KEYS - Grade 2 to 5
    Designed for players in Grade 2 to 5, this innovative series of 8 courses builds a strong foundation in theory, ear-training and technique through interactive activities, fun repertoire, and opportunities to create and share music. In each class, students participate in group and individual activities as they build their skill and confidence as a musician. Whether just starting on the piano or coming with a few years of experience, there is a Kollaborative Keys course for you!

    POPPIN' PIANO - Grade 5+
    Has your child always wanted to learn how to play the piano, but thought it was too late to start? Why not try Poppin' Piano! This beginner course takes a pop approach to piano lessons that has your child playing the songs they want to play. With a focus on building confidence at the piano, students will learn about chords, develop basic technique, theory and ear-training skills.

  • Sewing

    Sewing, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8

    Introduce your child to the joys of using their hand to create something unique in Stitch by Stitch. Throughout the term, students will have the opportunity to complete a variety of sewing projects that develop new skills in a fun and encouraging environment.

  • Ukulele

    Ukulele, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6

    Learn to play one of the most popular instruments in one of Arts Abound's ukulele classes! Exploring a variety of styles of music, students will develop basic ukulele skills and learn to sing along as they strum.

  • Studio to Stage

    Theatre, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9+

    Studio to Stage is a full year program that incorporates all disciplines of the arts into one program. During this program, students will work together to produce their own musical production. Students will take part in all aspects of the production from learning lines to painting sets, taking their production from the studio to the stage. Each session will end with a final performance where the students will present their production to family and friends.

    Help your child discover their creative side with a visual arts class at Arts Abound. With a focus enjoying art for arts sake, students will explore a variety of different styles and mediums of art. Divided into two series of courses, there is a visual art course for everyone!

    I CAN CREATE - Preschool (Ages 3-4)
    Nurture your child’s inner artist with I Can Create! Preschoolers will explore a variety of mediums through fun and engaging weekly projects that focus on encouraging creativity and independence. With this introductory program the sky’s the limit to what your child can create.

    SHAPE, DOODLE & PAINT - JK to Grade 3
    Shape, Doodle & Paint is designed to nurture budding artistic abilities! Young artists will be encouraged to flex their visual art muscles as they explore the elements of art in new and exciting ways - through pencil, paper, pastel, ink, paint, glue, scissor and more! Children will grow in their self-confidence and creative thinking while working with a wide variety of mediums. With this introductory program, the sky’s the limit to what your child can create!

    EMERGING ARTIST - Grade 3 to 8
    Emerging Artists is designed to inspire a growing interest in art and to build on skills in sketching, painting, collage and mixed-media. The class is designed to create a time and place where young artists can come together, express themselves and develop their own artistic awareness and techniques.

  • Vocal

    Vocal, Senior Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8

    Develop your child’s love of music and singing with vocal classes at Arts Abound!

    MARVELOUS MUSIC - JK TO GRADE 1
    Develop your child’s love of music with Marvelous Music. Marvelous Music is designed to encourage young musicians to develop and experiment with music in a fun and positive environment. Throughout the term, students will have the opportunity to explore many different types and styles of music using their voice, instruments, and even their bodies.

    BROADWAY STARS - SK to Grade 3
    Sing and dance just like the stars on Broadway! Broadway Stars is a fun and engaging musical theatre program that introduces students to many different musical theatre styles that encourage self-expression, build confidence, and help them discover their inner star! Each class will include 30 minutes of vocal training and 30 minutes of dance where they will add choreography to the songs they learned.

    SINGING STARS - Grade 3 to 6
    Singing Stars is designed to enhance the musical and creative expression of all students. Throughout the semester, students will learn different styles of music, while practicing their vocal skills through fun music games, activities and exercises. In addition to developing their voice, students will be introduced to the art of song writing and have the opportunity to write their own song using fun online music technologies.

    *Due to COVID-19 - all vocal classes will be offered online via Zoom for the Fall 2020 semester*
